The Beekeepers Association of Southern California is a group of beekeepers and members of the general public interested in beekeeping, who are dedicated to supporting the benefits of bees, by assisting in education in the acquisition and use of proper equipment, techniques, products, and safety that encompass the beekeeping experience; assisting in education with up-to-date and current solutions to issues facing both hobbyists and commercial beekeepers in the Southern California area; seek and develop educational opportunities for the public about the importance of bees; fostering a spirit of cooperation between beekeepers, governmental agencies, and the general public; and promote the development of responsible beekeeping practices that serve to preserve our local honey bee populations with an emphasis on safety for not only the beekeepers, but safety for the public that may directly or indirectly be affected by the bees we keep.
